Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2, 2026
1. Service Description
DMARCfix provides an automated email security assessment and monitoring service for domain owners. Our service includes:
- Scanning publicly available DNS records (DMARC, SPF, DKIM, MX, MTA-STS, BIMI) to assess email authentication configuration
- Generating security scores and vulnerability reports based on scan results
- Providing automated setup guides tailored to your email provider
- Sending periodic monitoring alerts when your domain's security status changes
- Providing an embeddable "DMARCfix Protected" trust badge for your website
2. What DMARCfix Is NOT
To set clear expectations, DMARCfix:
- Is not a comprehensive cybersecurity audit, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessment service
- Does not guarantee prevention of email fraud, phishing, spoofing, wire fraud, or any other form of cyberattack
- Does not modify your DNS records — you must implement the recommended changes yourself or with the help of your IT administrator
- Does not provide real-time email filtering, blocking, or interception
- Is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity consultation, legal advice, or compliance certification
- Does not send emails on your behalf or access your email accounts in any way
3. Accuracy of Scans
Our scans analyze publicly available DNS records at the time of scanning. Results reflect the current state of your DNS configuration and may vary over time as records are updated. While we strive for accuracy, DNS propagation delays, caching, and non-standard configurations may occasionally affect results. DKIM detection is limited to commonly used selector names; custom selectors may not be detected, which does not necessarily mean DKIM is unconfigured. Scores are calculated based on our proprietary methodology and are intended as a general indicator of email authentication posture, not a definitive security rating.
4. Payment, Pricing & Refund Policy
DMARCfix is a one-time payment processed securely through Stripe. Upon payment, you receive immediate access to your full security report, custom DNS records, setup guide, trust badge, and monitoring for the duration specified by your plan.
Refund Policy
- Due to the digital and immediately-delivered nature of our service, all purchases are generally final and non-refundable once the security report has been generated and delivered.
- If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing your report or receiving the services described (e.g., report generation failure, system error), please contact us within 48 hours of purchase at [email protected]. We will either resolve the issue or provide a full refund at our discretion.
- Refund requests made more than 48 hours after purchase, or for reasons unrelated to technical service failures, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.
- If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us immediately.
- Prices may change at any time; your purchase is locked at the price you paid at the time of checkout
- We do not offer subscriptions or recurring billing — your payment is a single charge
- Promotional codes or discounts, if offered, are subject to their own terms and may be revoked at any time
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Only scan domains that you own or have explicit authorization to scan
- Not use the service to harass, threaten, or intimidate domain owners
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or abuse the scanning infrastructure
- Not resell scan results or monitoring reports without written permission
- Not use automated tools to perform excessive scans beyond normal usage patterns
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
DMARCfix is a DMARC compliance assessment tool, not a comprehensive security solution. Specifically:
- We do not warrant that implementing our recommendations will prevent email fraud, wire fraud, phishing, business email compromise (BEC), or any other security incident
- Email security depends on many factors beyond DNS configuration, including but not limited to: employee security training, email client settings, third-party service configurations, network security, and user behavior
- Our security scores and risk assessments are informational only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for security decisions
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of scan results at all times
- Statistics cited on our website (e.g., FBI IC3 data, ALTA surveys) are from publicly available third-party sources and are presented for informational purposes only
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAILARMOR, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
8. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable monitoring but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, DNS provider outages, third-party service disruptions, or other factors may temporarily affect scan availability. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize downtime and restore service promptly.
9. Intellectual Property
The DMARCfix service, including its scoring methodology, report formats, setup guides, and badge designs, is proprietary. You may use the reports and guides for your own domain management purposes but may not redistribute them commercially. The "DMARCfix Protected" badge may only be displayed on websites for domains with an active DMARCfix subscription.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your monitoring data will be deleted within 30 days. Any "DMARCfix Protected" badges embedded on your website will no longer display a verified status after your monitoring period expires or your account is terminated.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware, United States.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via notification to active customers. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently revised.
